Job Description:
The objective of this role is to identify key markets and types of hotel products that would complement our product offerings and revenue growth. To be achieved by maintaining accounts, giving sales presentations, attending travel industry related functions, establish and maintain supplier relationships, train partner hotels on our Hotel User Interface.
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for negotiating and securing contracts with hotels and other suppliers throughout Country on behalf of Via.
You will be tasked with visiting all suppliers to negotiate deals and inspect hotels to ensure they meet the required standards. You will also ensure that the relevant sales teams are kept continually updated with the products available.
Your other duties will include:
* Monitoring sales performance for products, working closely with both the sales team and suppliers
* Managing, leading and developing any support staff that are allocated to you
* Ensuring that information is available to both staff and clients through brochures, internal IT systems and any other distribution outlets
To be considered for this position, you must have:
* Product management experience gained within the travel and holiday industry
* Good knowledge of the Country travel industry
* Excellent written & oral communication skills in English.
* Existing supplier contacts (including Hotels) throughout the Country could be added advantage.
* A proven track record in relationship building and negotiating within the travel industry, ideally within the coach or wholesale industry or group travel tour operators
As a Product Manager, you should have a passion for the travel and the holiday industry. You should also be well travelled within Country
